Shrimp Festival

It’s that time of year again! The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is this weekend May 3rd - 6th! 
Colie’s will be kicking off our Annual Sidewalk Sale a day early! ( Say what! ) Yeah girl you heard it! Instead of having to deal with street closures and crowds, you’ll be able to leisurely shop Thursday May 3rd!
On Thursday May 3rd doors will open at NOON with select clothing, jewelry, and more up to 50% OFF! 
Below is a schedule of events for the weekend : 
Thursday May 3rd
  • Colie’s hours : 12pm - 8pm 
  • Colie’s Sale begins at Noon 
  • Pirate Parade at 6pm (portions of Centre, Ash, and 2nd will be closed for the parade) 
  • Sounds on Centre a free concert in the street at 2nd and Centre will follow the parade. 

Friday May 4th 

  • Colie’s hours : 10am - 5pm 
  • Colie’s Sale begins at 10am 
  • PLEASE NOTE the Shrimp Festival has decided to close downtown to parking & traffic at 1pm Friday. Here is a direct quote from the flyer I received :  “The Shrimp Festival area encompasses all public right-of-ways within the historic downtown area, including the whole length of Centre Street to the waterfront, and side streets one block north of Centre to Alachua and one block south of Centre to Ash, including all public parking lots. THERE WILL BE NO PARKING WITHIN THESE AREAS AFTER 1PM ON FRIDAY, MAY 4, 2018 in order to allow the vendors to set up .... Violators may be towed”
  • 6pm to 10pm Shrimp Fest begins at the waterfront. Visit https://www.shrimpfestival.com for more info on the evenings activities. 

Saturday May 5th 

  • Colie’s hours : 11am to 5pm 
  • Colie’s Sale begins at 11am - this is the LAST DAY of the sale. 
  • Shrimp Fest begins at 9am visit https://www.shrimpfestival.com for more info on the days activities.

Colie’s will be CLOSED Sunday May 6th through Tuesday May 8th. We will resume normal hours Wednesday May 9th 12-6

 

MORE ABOUT OUR SHRIMP FEST SALE

  • This sales is typically very crowded which is one of the reasons we are starting a day early. Hopefully this will disperse the crowd over 3 days! 
  • We have ONE dressing room. Please be patient while others are trying on items. 
  • There will be a FIVE ITEM limit on the dressing room.
  • We highly suggest wearing a tank & leggings/biker shorts so that in the event the dressing room line gets long you can try items on anyhow! We have no problem with you trying items on outside the dressing room!  
  • Sale items will be marked with a sale tag. The sale tag will have the percentage the item is discounted listed and that discount will be taken off the original price at checkout. If a tag says $39.99 and 50% off, the item would be $19.99. 
  • There will be designated racks with sale items. You will know it’s a sale rack because there will be a sign on it labeling it as such. NOTE : things get put back in the wrong place this is why sale items have sale tags. If you find an item on the sale rack with no sale tag it is most likely NOT a sale item. I try to keep the racks organized but when it gets crowded it’s impossible. We will not be discounting an item because it is on the wrong rack. 
  • All sale items are FINAL SALE. There will be no exceptions. No exchanges, no shop credit. Discounts can not be applied to previous purchases. Discount can not be combined with other sales, specials, coupons, or discounts.
